• The Kursaal Ausonia just received a massive renovation job and we are happy to report that the 26-room, three-star hotel is looking hot!
  
  An oasis of tranquility on a quiet part of Via Nazionale, the structure sports modern touches and amenities, classic accents, and an extraordinarily enthusiastic and accommodating staff.
  
  Rooms vary in size and color scheme. All of them are jazzed up with gilded frames, polished black wood, brass detailing, and clean solid-colored bedspreads. Furniture aims to achieve an antique vibe; indeed, antique reproductions here will fool a fast glance. Big, new, sea-foam green tinted bathrooms look and feel squeaky clean.
  
  A sleek modern bar/lounge near reception, and a Medieval-style long wooden table and chairs in the breakfast room results in an attractive style dichotomy. Wi-Fi runs smoothly all throughout, and perhaps most comfortably from the plump couches in the living room.
  
  In the end, this is an extremely cute and comfy place to bed down. Rates increase during high season, but thankfully dip down to our preferred range during the rest of the year.

Hotel Kursaal & Ausonia is superbly located in the heart of Firenze: it is only a 10 min walk from the Cathedral and from the railway station and is close to all monument and museums.
This welcoming hotel was completely renovated in January 2007 in order to offer a warm and elegant atmosphere. Our motto is: modernity in the classical tradition of Tuscany.
The public areas are on the third floor and the characterised by a modern but at the same time classical design.
The breakfast room, where a tasty buffet breakfast is served in the morning, is absolutely cosy and unique. The bar lounge together with the common room, with its sofas, books, newspapaers, Tv and internet access are the ideal places to stop and relax.

The hotel offers 2 types of rooms based on the size: Standard and Superior.
Some of the Superior also have a comfortable living room, some look out on the Cathedral, other on the roofs of Florence and some others have private balconies.
The atmosphere is warm and cosy with pieces of ancient furniture together with modern details. Bathrooms follow the same logic: spacious, functional and comfortable.
Two of the superior rooms have bathtubs.
