The Locanda Starlight is one really small, but also really friendly place. Situated 5-minutes east of the main railroad station, the Starlight offers five bare-essentials rooms, none with private facilities. None of the rooms have televisions or telephones either. But the Starlight makes up for this in youthful hospitality, and artistic charm. Not to mention it's housed in a 12th-century building -- totally retro.
Rooms are named after the hand-painted murals that illustrate their walls. Reghina, the Starlight's very friendly English-speaking manager, painted these scenes herself. You'll either fly away to slumber in the "Butterfly Room," be filled with warmth and joy in the "Sun Room," feel the evening glow in the "Moon Room," swim with sea life in the "Fish Room," or fall in love in "Cupid's Room." True to the Locanda's name, glow-in-the-dark stars adorn the ceilings.

Despite the frustration in trying to find the place (there's a different sign outside), we had a great stay. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were quite comfortable.
