The quiet, affordable Leonardo House is located within a two-minute walk of the Duomo, right in the heart of Florence. The Leonardo offers doubles, triples, and quads with female-only rooms available as well. Leonardo himself is famously helpful for travelers new to Florence—he'll even come meet you at the train station to help you find the hostel! Plus, he lives there full-time, so security is top-notch.
My partner and I stayed at the Leonardo House for 3 nights. We stayed in their private room with bath for 2 nights, then switched to a private room with shared bath. We found the location in Florence to be perfect- so walkable to all the major sights! Leonardo was very knowledgable, kind and available to us to answer our questions. What we didn't like: the mosquitoes and the twin beds pushed together to make a "double bed", as they kept creeping apart. Very close to the SMN train station, which was great when travelling with bags. Overall a great stay at a great rate- I recommend to anyone travelling to Florence!
