The hostel was in a good location although a little hard to find as the same street changes names at intersections. The room and shared bathroom was clean. We had a fridge in our room but there's no kitchen facility. The room has small closets but they are unable to be locked. We didn't have any problems with roommates but it's a big chance to leave your bags in the room. The lady that checked us in was nice but could not speak any English or Italian for that matter so communication was very difficult. In the 2.5 days we stayed there, that was the only time we saw the check in lady. Grocery stores are close by as well as many of the sites in Florence. Would stay again.

Laconda David was a good, clean hostel in a great location (felt very comfortable walking back to the hostel alone at night). A short walk to most major sites and close to more the reasonably priced stores (local grocers, etc., instead of the pricey tourist traps). I had a single room and private bath (not connected)with a closet, desk, tv, mini-fridge, and window to a courtyard. Would definitely stay again!
